Clear your schedule
There's a lot to do this weekend
Fourth Friday
Fourth Friday of the month means State Street and several side streets are closed from Home to Park. Plan this Friday to enjoy The Martini Affair at the City Hall Stage, Scientist Jack Brown with a fun activity about friction, The Arts Council of Westerville on West Main Street, Food Trucks, a DJ at Rotary Park, Axe Throwing by the Columbus Running Company, a Dog Days of Summer obstacle course at the Westerville Public Library, DORA, and walking down the middle of State Street.
Saturday Market
Another Saturday. Another market. Another day with fruits, vegetables, breads, cakes, pies, honey, knife sharpening, baklava, pork, beef, chicken, music, dancing, bubbles, and horseradish bread and butter pickles. Please don’t buy any horseradish bread and butter pickles. I want them all to myself. At least wait until I’ve gotten mine then you can shop.
Community Center Remains Closed Through Sunday
The Community Center annual cleaning continues through Sunday. The aquatics areas remain closed through Sept. 5, Labor Day.
Join your Westerville neighbors by participating Saturday in the third free curbside exchange in a citywide effort to keep ReUsable items out of our landfill and giving them a new home and purpose!
Simply place clean, usable items you no longer need at your curb so others may take what they need, extending their lifespan. Furniture, toys, clothing, tools, and other household items are all welcome. This is not a garage sale, as all goods are free.
Wall of Death near Westerville
It’s on Westerville Road, in the Westerville ZIP code, and certainly worthy of the short travel to Iron Pony to see The Wall of Death - American Motor Drome Wall Of Death
Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) Best Seats Sold Out
The priority seating, book signing, and photo op with Nick Offerman, the $60 ticket, are sold out. Still available are the $40 and $20 tickets. It’s not too late to get seating for this event by the Westerville Library Foundation and the Westerville Public Library. It’s October 25 at Cowan Hall at Otterbein University. The library's Facebook page has more information.
Accidental History: A Traveling Exhibit Continues
A collection of 75 photos by Gary Gardiner showing a curated history of Westerville for 11 years continues at the Westerville History Center Museum. The Westerville Public Library has a page about the exhibit and the Westerville Historical Society includes it its newsletter.
