Get Your Sheetz On
Tonight is Birdie's Plea
Newest Sheetz Almost Ready
The newest Sheetz will soon open at the corner of Polaris Parkway and Worthington Road. There is still a lot of work to do before opening. Landscaping needs to be completed. It needs stock, gasoline for the pumps, and a final inspection.
Yet to be completed is the entrance from Polaris Parkway. It is a right in, right out only curb cut waiting for asphalt.
The second entrance is off Worthington Road. It would be correct to say it is off both Worthington Roads. Or, you’ll turn into Sheetz from Worthington Road onto Olde Worthington Road, or what’s left of it.
Sheetz sits on its own little island, a triangle with one side defined by Polaris Parkway. The roadway to the east is the six lanes of Worthington Road built to connect Polaris Parkway to Ikea Way. South of Polaris, Worthington Road now connects to County Line Road,
The third side of the triangle, the side with the northern entrance, is Olde Worthington Road. Before Polaris Parkway and Polaris Fashion Place and the rapid business expansion along its periphery, Olde Worthington Road traveled north from Worthington to Plumb Road and eventually 3C Highway. Now it’s truncated into a short section of roadway completing the Sheetz triangle with only one direct connection to its past, new Worthington Road. The southern end of the narrow road is closed at Polaris Parkway.
Birdie’s Books Review Tonight
The Uptown Review Board’s hearing for the mural is still on the agenda for tonight. Read the previous westervilleOH.IO Newsletter to know more about the mural. The meeting begins at 6:30. Birdies is the first item on the agenda but stick around to the end to see if city hall’s new roof gets approved. Or if the last item on the agenda, getting approval for the color of tankless water heater vents at the Graeter’s building, what used to be Cockerell’s.
This Weekend
Uptown Saturday Night has NexLevel, a jazz group that has played in Westerville before. 7 p.m. at city hall.
